Why were you the only one swimming ,the water can't be cold !It all sounds quite unreal and I can understand why you wanted to go but still can't wait for you to come home either . George and I buried Rupert in the garden it was quite hysterical as we couldn't dig a hole deep enough ,ground too stoney . We were getting quite fraught and very cold so we dug a shallow grave and rolled a huge granite stone on top ,fitting for a majestic cat of ample proportions . We were very sad but it was time and he didn't suffer .George wants another cat or two or more dogs !!! But h e isn't here so much . We met Joan and Bill in Sidmouth on Sunday ,a funny old place , awful beach ,all stones and shingle ,grey sea and the red cliffs are falling down . We had lunch on the frount amoung lovely old hotel fronts which must be very desirable ,not a good lunch . It was good to see them though Bill is quite a card ,Dad likes him . Joan looked so tired ,has been up night after night with Claire's babe ,Claire is quite depressed and wants to give LEo the bottle and wants to get her life back ,he's just three weeks old ,I think she'll have to wait a bit ! Joan has gone back to Spain today and Claire is distraught . Tessa is full of beans ,loves the BEEB so far so good !! Agnes is in Cornwall I think they are comng for a meal or something ,she's flying to Tresco and doesn't know if she has time . George drove to Rock ,stalled a few times at lights but not bad ,then he reversed into large flower pots on the drive and broke them ,scratched car . The pots needed replanting , we had a laugh ,it reminded Dad of the time you drove the citreon into the garage or fence in 84 !!Took George to Bodmin for a driving lesson today ,had lunch in Borough Arms ,ugh , then Dad and George cycled back to WAdebridge with dog and I drove Nanna home .
